6 Days Umbwe Route
Overview
The 6 Days Umbwe Route is the most challenging and adventurous route on Mount Kilimanjaro, recommended for experienced trekkers with good physical fitness. Known for its steep ascents and dramatic scenery, the Umbwe Route offers a true wilderness experience with fewer crowds and breathtaking views from the southern slopes of the mountain.
This route quickly transitions from lush rainforest to alpine desert before joining the Machame Route at Barranco Camp.
